| Brinkerhoff
Bloodstock Services was created to assist a select group of
clients with all of their needs in acquiring horses and maintaining
an equine portfolio that offers value both now and in years
to come. Whether it's recommending purchases at public auction
or privately, or re-examining current holdings, BBS offers
the proven knowledge, reliability and honesty you'll be hard-pressed
to find elsewhere.
Bruce
Brinkerhoff has years of experience in analyzing pedigrees
and performing conformation evaluations, and also has his
finger on the pulse of the Standardbred and Thoroughbred markets.
That
knowledge makes him especially well-suited to make recommendations
on what yearlings, broodmares or racehorses will suit a particular
client's stable, regardless of budget or location. Bruce can
also make culling recommendations and what market is best
suited for bringing the most money for those horses.
With
a lifelong interest in livestock and horse racing, and with
a successful 25-year career in the horse racing industry,
Bruce comes well-equipped to serve clients in all these ways.
Along
with his private business, Bruce currently handles pedigrees
and inspections for the Lexington Selected Sales Company,
a position he has held since 1998. Prior to that he was a
well-respected research assistant at the U.S. Trotting Association
in Columbus, Ohio, and had previously worked as division manager
and/or breeding manager at several Standardbred and Thoroughbred
farms in the East, Midwest and Kentucky.
Bruce’s
wife, Melissa, brings a strong equine background along with
her experience in professional customer service and project
management to assist the clients of Brinkerhoff Bloodstock
Services.
Bruce
and Melissa reside in Hilliard, Ohio with their two sons,
J.B and Brad. The entire family is involved with 4-H and the
annual Franklin County Fair. JB is entering his fifth year
with market hogs. He grossed over $3,500 in sales in his first
four years at the annual Franklin County Fair Junior Livestock
sale. Brad finished his third and final year in the Walk-Trot
division with his pony "Andy." He placed in three
Western Pleasure classes this year and tried trail for the
first time, earning a fourth place for that effort. Brad will
be moving up to a new Quarter Horse for 2011.
